Imagine a Margarita with a bit of kick. Meet the Jalapeñorita.
This Jalapeñorita combines two of my favorite flavors…Margaritas and Jalapeño peppers.
The only time I pass on beer or wine while dining is when I’m chowing down on Mexican food. Somehow I just can’t pass up a margarita. Not only do I love them, but I just feel as if they’re a natural with Mexican or Southwestern food. I’m out for the complete experience when it comes to ethnic foods.
Of course, if one wants a complete experience with Mexican food, it’s best if you’re fond of spicy food. Hot & spicy to be exact. And to be exact, I love hot and spicy. So you can imagine my delight when I ran into this Jalapeñorita recipe.
While searching over Tabasco’s Recipe Page for a sauce recipe, I ran into the Jalapeño. Imagine my joy. The main ingredients that grabbed my attention was tequila, Grand Marnier, and Tabasco brand Green Jalapeño Pepper Sauce®. I couldn’t wait to take one out for a spin.
Yikes! I loved it! I actually drank two. I tested the two with varying amounts of the pepper sauce. I’m not a real big fan of overly sweet margaritas, and this was just about right. The addition of more or less of the pepper sauce assures there’s a Jalapeñorita for every taste preference.
The only problem was, it made me crave Mexican food like never before. Now, that’s going to be one fine Mexican meal now that I’m armed with the Jalapeñorita.
