How to Make Tortilla Bowls
These tortilla bowls are fun to make and fun to look at. Fill them up with a variety of goodies.

What You'll Need
  • 2 empty cans 15-oz can sizes work best
  • non-stick spray (Pam)
  • 8-inch flour tortillas
  • baking sheet pan
Then Do This
  1. Preheat an oven to 425°F (218°C).
  2. Once oven has reached the desired temperature, lightly spray both sides of the tortilla. Center tortilla over the bottom of the can and evenly spread your fingers around the can, gently folding the tortilla downward.
  3. Hold tortilla in place for about 10 seconds until it conforms into shape. This is about how it should be held. Once you remove your fingers, the tortilla will relax a bit and not be so pronounced of a shape.
  4. Place can on baking sheet, tortilla up into oven. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes. Oven temperatures vary, so keep an eye on it. The bottom edges will brown first. Once tortilla has reached a golden brown, remove from oven and allow to cool before removing from can. Proceed with the next batch.
  5. Fill them up! I highly recommend a trial run on one or two until you get the hang of it. Although my first ones ended up as wild bird food, it didn't take long before I was cranking out some pretty decent looking bowls.
