This all purpose chicken rub is a great rub that goes well with a variety of barbeque sauces. It adds a nice flavor to grilled vegetables, as well.
1/4 cup non-iodized salt
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon dried sage
1 tablespoon dried marjoram
1 tablespoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon Hungarian paprika
Tip: When making a chicken rub, plan ahead and make more than you need. Store the extra in a dry, cool dark place. You’ll be ready the next time you make barbequed chicken. Comes in handy should you be pressed for time.
Hello, my name is Gary Glen. As a certified Kansas City Barbeque Society judge, I know a little about barbeque. If not cooking barbeque, I'm eating it. When I'm not cooking or eating barbeque, I'm judging it. When I'm doing none of that, I write about it here and at TopRibs. Well, I'd better get back into that chicken suit. More
